7 June Breakfast & Rally Meeting!

Archie & Sharon Haley were gracious enough to open there home for a chapter breakfast and rally meeting! Ken & Connie Jordan joined them very early to get everything all put together! I showed up what I thought was early only to find most of the cooking already underway and most everything setup! Ken was at the outside grill doing potatoes and Connie was inside at the stove working on the eggs! Archie and Sharon were running around coordinating and making sure everything was just perfect! Great job guys! A total of 18 were there for great breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, creamed beef, biscuits, orange juice, milk, coffee, and more! There wasn't any shortage of food since we had expect a few more. Lots of conflicting things going on this weekend with graduations, weddings, etc.

Ken with the potatoes outside and Connie inside with the eggs!

Archie & Connie at the stove.                                                 Here they come!

Archie getting things organized!                                                            Co-riders chatting.

Ken & Olin with the Haley's grandson!                                                  Great Breakfast!

Sharon feeding her grandson.                                       Archie takes a bit of a break!

Great day for breakfast outside.                                           Martha enjoyed the food!

J.D. led a great rally meeting after breakfast. More great ideas came up, status was discussed in the different areas and many items finalized! Things are really coming together! Next big meeting will probably be the 1st part of August.

J.D ran the rally meeting.                                                Does he look in charge or what!!

We originally planned a ride to the Missions baseball game but there did not seem to be much interest. Olin mentioned that there was a car show in Fredrickburg so 7 of us met later and headed up to check it out! By now it had been a few hours since breakfast and we need a break. The Fredricksburg DQ was the place to do it. Most had ice cream but some had a meal!. Back on the road we headed out through a crowded downtown Fredricksburg to the show which was near the airport. At first, the show did not seem like much. Maybe 20 cars outside. Then we realized the main part of the show was inside! Lots and lots of more cars of all types!

Steve & Susan checking under the hood!                                           Lots of much older cars!

Olin always smiles at car shows!                                    Mike Mills looking the place over!
