21 Feb 07 Meeting

The February 2007 chapter meeting was another fun time with Chapter U members.  We had several guests:  Bruce McMaster, the Chapter Director for Chapter H, and Charles Fleming, former Chapter Director and current Treasurer for Chapter H.  Chapter H’s website is linked to our website should you want to check out Chapter H’s activities.   Texas District Director, John Simonick and guest co-rider Sharon Hernandez also attended.  John gave us an update on the plans for the upcoming Region H rally in Marshall, Texas, in March, and the Texas District Rally in Wichita Falls in May.  Our meeting featured another installment of “Riding Scared” by our new Assistant Educator, Charlie Brown.  Brad Severe handed out order forms for GWRRA patches and name tags.  If anyone wants the name tag that specifically has the chapter logo on it, we are putting together an order to try to get a cheaper price due to quantity.  Olin Gover bought spools of wire for anyone to help themselves to should they need to rewire various parts of their motorcycle, all their motorcycle or many motorcycles (there were quite a few diameters and spools Olin, thanks!).  Olin is also our “Game Meister” and he had a special one that reminded us of visiting the doctor!  Fortunately Olin’s games are a lot more fun than a doctor’s visit!  Thanks to everyone who brought door prizes!  And, of course, we can’t help but mention our main “go-to-guy for more plates and beverage refills” David was there to support another pleasant evening at the Golden Corral.
