14 Jan 12 - Texas Mid-Winter Roundup

This Saturday the Texas Mid-Winter Roundup was held at the New Braunfels Convention Center located at 375 South Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, TX 78130.  The Mid-Winter Roundup is for all Texas GWRRA members, especially current staff/team members. In addition to dealing with annual business, there was orientation classes for current and prospective team members.

From Chapter "U" we had in attendance Ken & Connie Jordan, Court & Diane VanSickler, and Steve & Donna Van Gilder.  We gathered together at the IHOP in New Braunfels for a quick breakfast and headed over to the Convention Center to sign in.  We got there a little early so Donna went ahead and turned in the Treasurer reports while our CD's and ACD's picked up their information packets.  Then it was off to the coffee pot and mingling with the rest of the participants.

The morning was spent going to updates on information from the District Staff.  A great lunch was graciously provided by couple of members who had been cooking and chopping 15 briskets for the past 3 days. 

After lunch it was more information on some different area's.  All in all, a great day and I for one am looking forward to the District Rally in May back at the New Braunfels Convention Center.

Chapter "U"

The Roundup was held at the New Braunfels Convention Center.	Folks coming into the main conference room.	The District ladies wore their Kentucky Derby hats.	Another Kentucky Derby hat.	Connie really does want to be the Chapter Photographer.
