15 Oct 08 Chapter Gathering The chapter gathering this month sure seemed to come up quick! The timing was great though since our rally is just a few days away. Great turnout of 32 people. Nice to see Mike an Dolores Hausmann back! Missing were Olin & Martha and Ken & Connie. Martha & Connie were helping their husbands out since both had recent surgeries. J.R Williams showed up to drop off some prizes and get the details on his booth at the rally. He was not able to stay for the meeting. After the normal Pledge of Allegiance and formalities, Court VanSickler made quite a few Rider Education level presentations. We have had lots of folks sign up in the last couple months! More awards to give when they get back from district! Most of the rest of the meeting was dedicated to the rally. This was the last opportunity for folks to get the details worked out in their areas of responsibility. Our rally coordinator, J.D. Kvapil does not seem worried at all! And I agree. It will be the best chapter rally Texas has had in quite some time! The meeting ended with door prizes. As usual, Duke & Chela got their fair share including a great pair of winter gloves Duke had eyed! Dave & Lana and Skip also did well! Everyone had a good time.
